I had a crazy craving for peach cobbler on Sunday. I've never made it before, so I went searching for a recipe. I found this one in the recipe book from the Cove Ward, submitted by Colleen Bybee. It was DELICIOUS!
1 cup milk
1/2 cup melted butter
3/4 cup sugar
1 1/4 cup flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
Mix until lumps are gone. Pour into a greased glass baking dish. Drain a large can of peaches and save the juice. Put fruit on dough.
Topping:
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup melted butter
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
Mix and spoon over fruit mixture. Pour 1 cup fruit juice over all. Bake at 350 until golden brown, about 45 minutes.
