Perfect Chocolate Chip Cookies

I know, I know, everyone has their own favorite chocolate chip cookie recipe, but these are seriously the best I've ever made....and the prettiest. I got this from our ward cookbook.

3/4 c brown sugar

1-1/2 c white sugar

1-1/4 c shortening

3 lg eggs

1 tbsp vanilla

3-1/4 c flour

1-1/2 tsp baking soda

1-1/2 tsp salt

1-1/2 to 2 c chocolate chips

Cream shortening and sugars together. Add eggs and vanilla, mix well. Sift in dry ingredients, add 1-2 tbsp flour if needed. Dough should be only slightly sticky. Spoon onto cookie sheet. Bake at 325* for 15 min. Take out of the oven when edges are starting to turn golden. Let cool for a minute, then move onto cooling rack. ENJOY!
