Preheat oven to 350 degrees
In a small bowl cream:
1 C. margarine
1 C. brown sugar
1 C. white sugar
Add and cream well:
3 eggs
1 t. vanilla extract
In large bowl combine:
2 ½ C. all purpose flour
1 t. salt
½ t. nutmeg
¼ t. cloves
2 t. cinnamon
2 t .baking soda
2 C. rolled oats
1 C. raisins
¾ C. chopped pecans , if desired
Add creamed mixture to dry mixture and stir.
Drop by teaspoonfuls onto an ungreased cookie sheet
Bake for 10-12 minutes until the edges are golden. Allow the cookies to cool 5 minutes on the baking sheet before removing to a wire rack to cool completely.
